Abstract

Gastroschisis is a rare neonatal pathology, it consist in a defect in the anterior abdominalwall,throughwhichthe intestine herniationoccurs, it can be diagnosed byprenatalultrasound, which allowsadequateprenatalcontrol andpreparean optimalmanagementof delivery andpostpartum,aiming atreducingmorbidity and mortalityof infants withgastroschisis.Wereportthecaseof anewbornwithprenataldiagnosisofgastroschisiswho wasborn by vaginal delivery in the Ambato Provincial Hospital.
