Abstract

This research article analyzes the current state and evolution of the perception of political leadership in Catalonia during the period 2020-2023. To do this, the work is based on the comparison between two editions of the Social Observatory for Catalonia study, carried out by the Liderar con Sentido Común Foundation through a survey where said perception is analyzed. The main objective is to examine how the expectations, fears, satisfactions and demands of the Catalan population influenced the perception of leadership of the political class. The methodology involves a comparative analysis of the data collected in the April 2023 and October-September 2020 editions of the Observatory. The most notable results are presented in the form of trends and significant changes in the perception of political leadership, while the main conclusions highlight the influence of historical events and circumstances on this evolution, and that this has led to an improvement in the Perception of political leadership in Catalonia.
